So, saw them live recently:
Feminist, post-punk band the arose after the break up of riot grrl pioneers Bikini Kill for those who don't know.
Augustus Pablo
Augustus Pablo's son Addis following in his father's footsteps...
Rock Steady
Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Pirates
With Eric Clapton on lead guitar. I think the best solo by Clapton, ever.
There’s not enough bagpipes in songs!
More Roots Rock Steady Reggae
Sometimes nice to sing along something with others
Dutch music… with big passion at the end…
@marcitko space is the place....
I got hooked on this song by Taj Mahal
One of best live acts out there.
They’ve just been announced to play the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne at the end of the month
Those guys just don't know when to quit, I guess. The AFL final, eh? Is that anything like playing the North Dakota State Fair?
LOLz
If the North Dakota State Fair was televised and pulled 3 million viewers then yes indeed!
.
No, not even close. I guess that final is a bigger deal than the NDSF.
Aside: I wonder if they'll perform in makeup?
Daaaaaaaaamn! That is some good stuff
That’s a pretty good version of Man of Constant Sorrow. I always thought the version from Oh Brother Where Art Thou was best, but I like this too.
I like the version from the Soggy Bottom Boys, too, but this one is damned good.
Metta
The Chain, covered by the Highwomen
One of the bands I play in has gotten a lot of requests lately for Copperhead Road by Steve Earle. So I've bought a mandolin and am learning to play it. I play the "bagpipe" part on keyboard.
Mack the knife meets latin jazz....ladies and gentlemen.... Pedro Navaja.....un matón de esquina...
