Me better (allegedly):

Well done everyone inspiring us with their efforts and successes. Their fun, funnies and behaviour modifications. Well done us!

our life is buddha living....with mind and heart we live the seasons.
Mystery of Consciousness
Who or what is looking from behind the eyes,
Who or what distinguishes the vibrations of truth and lies,
Who or what smells the scent wafting up the nose,
Who or what tastes the fruit that grows?
If it’s the brain, that blob of jelly meat,
Through which sights are seen and fruit tastes sweet,
And vibrations have meaning, smells are pleasing or can disturb,
Who or what, then, gives rise to the blurb—
The voice in our head, the constant stream,
Of thoughts and musings, a waking dream?
If it’s just neurons, a firing spree,
Where is the "I" in this mystery?
The whisper of "I" that watches and feels,
The pull of the stars, the turn of the wheels?
Or merely a trick, an illusion’s guise,
A dance of atoms beneath the skies?
Whatever it is, this watcher inside,
The seeker of truth where mysteries hide,
Remains a riddle, profound and vast,
A glimpse of the future, a shadow of the past.

I think you are absolutely right to say we need to stand still with the things we are doing right, it is important to realise that we are doing positive things.
I have been involved in…
I think the intention to do right, to live with honesty, transparency, kindness and reliability is maybe even more important than the results. But that is a major reason why I spend time on Buddhist forums, because people here live by these high intentions.

BTW..love the poem
We are poems of our own choices.
Let me tell you of how I was protected by the kind people of the fediverse and protected from the trolls, trumps and bad influences.

Mastodon is not what you are force fed. It is what you make it. Good luck. Let me know what server you are on and I will follow you (which I can do from wherever I am)...

Hello everyone,
I've been having some troubles lately (poor sleep) and am in need of some positivity.
Even though there might be some potential drawbacks to this, spiritual ego and all that stuff, and the yang in the yin and the yin in the yang, let's have a thread to celebrate some of the things we are doing right.
No need for this to be a hollier-than-though thread, we're all flawed (Mistakes R US as Genkaku would say), but equally I know that we are all trying to be better and practice on a daily basis towards our aspirations and Boddhisatva ideals.
Three things I'm doing right these days:
a.k.a. practicing not being a phone zombie. Great success! I know that it's the small things that eventually snowball towards better things. What are some things you are doing right?
Trump signed the 90 day extension.
Is that some sort of hair extension?
Rather than being at the whim of corporations or petulant politicos

Oh look a tree has appeared. A new Buddha is born....
As some of you know I use Linux and Mastodon. Why? I value the geeks of Linux and the real diversity of Mastodon, Most social media is designed as click bait (so you keep scrolling in your preferred bubble of interest + promoted selling, misinformation, propaganda etc)
Just be aware, as the Buddhas advise...

Some might say that..
Samsara = phenomena being subjugated by a "self versus others" mentality.
Is such suffering actually addressed merely by the direction that a mind faces?
Couldn't a Mind turned inwards also describe myopic limitations, just as a mind
turned outwards might offer a wider world beyond the walls of our sandbox?
Nirvana= phenomena no longer being shang-highed by an ego's cravings.
What does a No Mind know anyway?
Appropriate actions are one spoke of the 8 fold path wheel and as such are best supported by the understanding, thought, speech, lively hood/relationships, effort, mindfulness & concentration of the 4 Nobel Truths.
