This is a special kind of practice which is called 'dozing off', and I experience this quite a bit during the day...in fact I'm becoming quite good at it

The worse example of actual grifting from a "spiritual" organization came from a client of mine who although she was poor said she had cobbled together $4,000 dollars for a course on invisibility and the same again for another one on levitation.
Seeing me pale when she mentioned this, said I know what you're thinking and I thought the same until they pointed out that if I couldn't afford $4,000 to make me a better person, then I had a real problem with money.

When I couldn't resist asking how the courses turned out, she said that she preferred the invisibility course where people around her started to look a bit opaque after a while but was more suspicious of the levitation course where folks only seemed to learn how to hop a bit up and down from a meditation posture.

It scares the living shit out of me when I'm hobbling along 'walking' my dog - in my fashion - and I suddenly get overtaken by a cyclist who had neither the common sense nor the courtesy to alert me of their presence. In all the times I've been overtaken by a cyclist, only ONCE did a young lady approach me slowly, with an 'excuse me'... At all other times my dog gets provoked into a frenzy of barking and chase, leaving me decidedly unbalanced and on edge. My language is more often than not, appropriately colourful...! OM MANI FUCKING IDIOT!!
