It's amusing to read, but I don't suppose it was funny to those experiencing the incident...

I mean, I was amused at first, but it's a sign, maybe, of one extreme group with sinister motives in mind, intimidating a section of the population who essentially are peace-loving and all-embracing.

Where have I read about that before....?

Yes, it's actually quite worrying once you get over the Monty Python style images.

It is amusing. Some vegans are a little strident and 'morally aggressive'. Not surprising they sometimes get a reaction from some unsavoury fascist sausages.

Someone I know watched 'cowspiracy' and took the vegan challenge.

I being made of sterner stuff, watched the film/documentary but continued my omnivore habits ...

Pah! Those sausage-waving fascists will be stopped by a socialist vegan hero like Soy Guevara. :p

Both of my parents are increasingly becoming more conservative and more "agree with me or don't bother talking to me." It's disheartening to see, because they have both always been open minded and pretty socially liberal. But as they get older (they are 60 and 64) they are losing that ability and choosing to cling to "normalcy."

Deleted because my comment had little to do with the thread, just something I am dealing with today.
Maybe we aren't supposed to live to be so old then if we impede progress, lol.

Ah but they have also taught you that "old" is more of an attitude
than of the span of years lived,

I rather liked @herberto call to the rights of cucumber wielders. I prefer seaweed munchers, I won't be marinaded by their negative attention ...

When visiting the hell realms for a picnic, the starters I bring are always welcome. Trump on a spit, hells angel stewed in fear, roast guru, my-little-pony-dharma cutlets ... that sort of thing ... o:)

    Be kind to vegetables!
