Precepts, precepts, actions, karma!

When each instance is clear, even the stained becomes bright.

Buddha told us to be careful with our actions and thoughts. Meditation is a way of pausing and permitting a moment of clarity and peace. Even if there a maelstorm going on. You are part of the washing program.

Working on right speech now.

Slowing down is a good way to approach right speech. We don’t always say the things we mean, and what we mean is not always right speech. Right speech is not lying, according to the precepts, but it is also saying that which is factual and beneficial. It’s basically about considering what you’re going to say, and its impact on listeners, before you say it.

    One thing at a time?

Right speech is so important. It would be nice to be able to say the right thing that reflects what we want to get across the first time. There are no edits in real-time. I find if I take my time, I do better. I'm also trying not to say things like " ...and all that junk"

If I remember: don't lie but tell the truth, don't divide but bring together, don't talk with no purpose (though I believe laughter and mirth is a purpose), don't speak harshly but speak gently and compassionately
