Many highly realized people are quite smart and knowledgeable.True. Osho for example was wel known as a voracious reader, with a library of 150,000 volumes when he passed away. He had also been a university professor and All-India debating champion. But he was rather poor on physics and science in general. He spoke many times on the effect of scientific thought on the mind, though, and what he said was quite insightful.
My personal experience was that science encourages you to take things apart, simplify them, and model them in your mind as a way of understanding them. I studied engineering at university, and that was very much done in that way. It’s very logical, a world of parts where things have well-known properties and are replaceable.
In the world of mythology, things are very different. It is a world of relationships, of gods and heroes who often have blood ties. It is a world allied to the world of dreams, where one might see a heroic journey to retrieve a lost soul from the underworld.
I think my general approach to things like this is one of integration and synthesis. Rather than moving from one to the other, see how they each have their own domain while at the same time can help strengthen and learn from each other.
I always seem to come back to the idea of yin and yang. For example, we all have a masculine and a feminine side, social norms are often such that we will attempt to elevate one and repress the other. I've found it healthier to embrace both and seek to find a balance that makes sense for my own disposition.

I recently watched a Virtual Reality (VR) documentary in a VR dedicated cinema. You get a headset and headphones. The movie is shot in 360 degrees and wherever you move your head that's the part of the scene you see. It was VERY interesting. The technology is apparently still not perfect, since it was still a bit grainy.
I have my doubts about this technology. It will soon be so perfect that it will be difficult to distinguish between our reality and the VR one. I can already see people fleeing from their lives into this VR reality. Businesses will capitalize on this through the "Metaverse". Am I just old and sceptical of new technologies or being realistic?

Tantric precepts?
Yes, there are "tantric" precepts. There are 14 of them.
Nothing said, about it, Tilopa was a tantric teacher. He's the founder of the Karma Kagyu practice lineage.
Although not a Tibetan and didn't live there, his teachings on Mahamudra were passed down in a lineage that is now associated with Tibetan Buddhism. Tilopa passed his teachings on Mahamudra to his student Naropa who in turn passed the teaching to Marpa, a Tibetan.
Vajrayana and Mahomudra, strictly speaking, are not the same thing. Vajrayana is tantra comprising a family of rituals, while Mahamudra is a meditative discipline.

Interesting to note that many western tv channels that didn't air the ICJ case over the last few days ..are now televising Israel's defence...
I thought that would be the case....
The Western media are continuing their biased reporting...Here in Aotearoa (NZ) there was a brief (in passing) mention on our news about the SA case....I have yet to watch today's news to see if they give more airtime to Israel's defence...

There was an article that stated that when the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies collide, the space between stars is so vast that there will be few actual collisions. The big effect is the relative gravitational pull that will greatly change both galaxies. They may ultimately merge with small clusters spinning off and/or one will take possession of a large galactic portion from the other.
There, according to reported indices, are signs that the collision process has already begun. While the to galaxies are still approx, 2.5 million light years apart, it was reported that we may be sharing gravitational effects. As to the voracity of those claims, I leave that to the Astronomers and Astro Physicyts.Meanwhile, pleasant as these little excursions are, I'll be tending to the mini galaxy within my own minor sub-sub quadrant of Earth.
Peace to All
I think the analogy I remember regarding the collision of galaxies and the vast space in them, is like if two bees roaming through Europe or the US were to collide into each other.
