Mixed views help needed

Hi, I'm in the very early stages of my path to Buddhisum I have read lots of different views on eating meat so I am still debating a vegetarian diet, recently I watched a program on how cow milk was produced and it has disturbed me since I watched it. I naively thought it wasn't cruel but I can't get the image out of my mind!

The big meat eating question begins and ends with the response: It's up to you, but be mindful of where you source your meat.
If you can't be sure, there are a lot of healthy options, and excellent products to substitute, if not completely replace, meat.

Vegetarianism is a contentious issue in Buddhism, and here too.
I would recommend you research existing threads on here, and read them.

There is no cause or place to have yet another thread, when there are many sources of information available...
That's not an admonishment; I don't blame you at all for asking, and it's great that you are both conscious and conscientious.
But have a look at the other threads, and you'll see there honestly is no one clear, definitive answer....
