Dyslexics Untie!
Deep, eh?
Chris is short for Christopher.
"Au milieu de l'hiver, j'apprenais enfin qu'il y avait en moi un été invincible."
or in boring old English... "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer."
I got it during a teaching on Mahamudra. First I i was proud but now "I" understand it more like would their be something like a unchangeable Wisdom their would be a unchangeable me to. So the proud vanish and what remains? And "I" was so proud.
Sometimes this feels like the carpet was taken from under my feet.
and than to remember if their is just open space, hmm.... where should fall :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:
Studied both at school. Amazing author.... his ability for profound expression using commonplace words is awesome.
Me?
Federica's my (middle) name......
Resident Evil is my first and forever love. Original Playstation Silent Hill really made an impression on me though. These days I really dig Left 4 Dead... but also the levity of Dead Rising. I also like zombie movies... books... I was a zombie for years for Halloween.
I'm just so ready for the apocalypse... but I have stopped myself from actually preparing because... that's crazy, right? But rest assured, if I heard news that shit was going down, stick with me because I know all about survival.
@Joyfulgirl I had wondered if it was from that song!
I'd make a rubbish spy.
But to be honest, it just sounded cool.
I didn't realise how much zombie stuff I know. (I know it was mentioned earlier but the Cranberries song is a top 5 player on my iTunes).
I am concerned: Is it possible that I may be a member of the walking dead and not know it?
Your readiest advice is much appreciated.

Also, the term "lazy eye" refers to two different, but related ocular conditions: strabismus, in which the eyes are not fully aligned, and amblyopia, in which one eye basically stops processing visual input (leaving all the work to the other eye).
I've been married twice. My first wife had strabismus, and the woman I'm married to now has amblyopia. Not that I deliberately seek out partners with visual disorders -- it's just an interesting coincidence. Or perhaps some sort of karmic thing.
So, basically, the screen name was an exercise in free association. I like it because it reminds me to be more attentive and careful, both a student of dhamma and more generally in daily life.
I think it's completely possible to be more dead than alive, yet still going through the motions. I've been there. Perhaps this is another layer to my name, using it like a cautionary song. But you know... if you find yourself actually eating people... I'm not sure that I can help you, haha.
anything and I asked hubby...and I though..."I like that!"
Now I wish I would have left off the -s...because it should
be singular....it's not an 'us' on here...it's a me..
So....Vastmind(s) it is...hahaha
BTW...good thread .......
nenkohai = mindful learner/underling/student
This photo was taken some months ago, I've had more work done since and I'm booked for some more next month.
Its subject is the loss of faith. It is sad and sophisticated as I imagine Mr. Stevens was. I think it is a very powerful record of the world in the early 20th century. I have always admired it .
