A moderator who does not do anything?
I think that is my sort of moderator. Keep up the good work

I think you’d make a great moderator @karasti, you always struck me as thoroughly practical and able to see the many sides of an argument.

@Jeroen My beliefs have always been constantly evolving. I still firmly believe in the foundations of Buddhism. But I am also pretty pagan and the core of my beliefs is centered on the laws of nature, primarily. They work well together, for me. But for other people, they wouldn't. Ie, I know a lot of Official Buddhists who dislike Thay's teachings on interconnectedness with nature as "not Buddhist." I believe very strongly in that. So, it really depends on the details which is always where things get murky IMO 😂
@lobster thanks for the reminder, I will send a note about the moderator title, as that happened right before I took an extended internet break and I thought I had made clear I did not wish to be a moderator but apparently it is still there!

After Donald Trump's repeated demands, and in spite of insisting that it is unheard of , the Royal Family relents and provides him with a King's regalia for all photographs that he poses for with King Charles.

Information on how to think in the current climate change:
Approximately 70% of all people who get cancer have eaten pickles.
Most people who have recently died in car accidents ate a pickle in the past year.
All Americans who ate pickles in 1901 have died.
Therefore, pickles obviously kill people.

Interesting video, @person. Some of these things, like loaded language, sound very familiar to me from my sannyas days, although she is right to say it is not very uncommon in any kind of in-group these days.
Not sure if you should be showing this to @lobster, he may deduce some kind of cult manual…

Here is an olde one for the dog lovers... (think we had it before. Not sure)
A lost dog wanders into the jungle. A lion spots him from a distance and thinks, “Huh… never seen one of these before. Looks edible.
The lion starts charging. The dog freaks out until he notices some bones nearby. Thinking fast, he blurts out:
“Mmm… that was some tasty lion meat!”
The lion slams the brakes: “Wait… this little dude eats lions?! Nope, I’m out.”
But high up in a tree, a monkey saw the whole thing. He scampers over to the lion and spills the truth, hoping to score points. The lion growls: “Hop on my back. We’ll get him together.”
They storm back toward the dog. The dog sees them coming, panics harder… then yells:
“Where the hell is that monkey? I told him to bring me another lion an hour ago!
